Admission Policy of the Faculty of Human Sciences

Admission Policy of the Admission Office Examination

We welcome students who understand our educational ideal, who are interested in academic inquiry, who can envision and work for one’s future, who can relate to other people and community, and who can get engaged in a variety of social activities, (i.e.) well-rounded students.

Admission Policy of the Department of Human Development

(1)The kind of students we seek

Those who are interested in the development of children; those who are eager to inquire about the theory and practice of childcare and education.
Those who have the spirit of love, service, and cooperation; those who are willing to work hard.
Those who want to become an elementary teacher, kindergarten teacher, or a nursery teacher.
Those who are interested in the human mind, especially that of children.

(2)What should be acquired in high school

High school level knowledge and skills.
Ability to relate to other people.

(3)The kind of students sought in Admission Office Entrance (AO)

Those who have actively participated in club activities, volunteer activities, or other group activities.
Those who clearly envision their future, (i.e.) to become a teacher; those who want to contribute to society.

(4)Subjects of Entrance Examination

A Stage: Japanese, English I&II, one elective (from World History B, Japanese History B, Politics/Economics, Math I&II, Biology I, Chemistry I).
B Stage:Japanese, English I&II.

Admission Policy of the Department of Psychology and Social Work

(1)The kind of students we seek

Those who have basic knowledge of major high school subjects; those who are ready to make use of them to understand humanity.
Those who want to contribute to the society by means of human bonding, based on spiritual richness.
Those who are interested in people, who want to contribute to the society through academic inquiry.

(2)What should be acquired in high school

High school level knowledge.
Good understanding of Japanese language and literature.

(3)The kind of students sought in Admission Office Entrance (AO)

Those who are interested in people; those who want to contribute to the society.
Those who have achieved basic high school academic standard; or, those who are willing to make up for the shortfall in case they have not achieved it.

A Stage:Japanese, English I&II.
B Stage: Japanese, English I&II.

Admission Policy of the Department of Health and Nutrition

(1)The kind of students we seek

Those who understand the educational goal of the department, who have interest in and are eager to work on health, food, nutrition, lifestyle diseases and dietary education.
Those who seek a career in medicine, welfare, food service, public administration and education; those who want to make contribution to the local society and are ready to make an effort for that goal.

(2)What should be acquired in high school

Basic knowledge of Biology and Chemistry.
To have interest in and images of the work of Certified Dietician.

(3)Subjects of Entrance Examination

A Stage:Japanese, English I&II, one elective (Biology I, and Chemistry I).
B Stage:Japanese, English I&II.

Those who can express oneself clearly; those who can respect other people’s way of thinking.

To achieve basic high school academic standard in major subjects, especially English and Social Studies.
To acquire good command of Japanese expression by continuous effort in reading and writing.
